This isn’t about religion.
It’s about ordering our lives to original created design.
Religion says, “Change your behavior.”
Ie: It’s all on you. 🥵 (self-help culture)
Jesus says, “Offer me your heart + I will change YOU.”
Ie: It’s all on HIM. (Jesus culture)
With Jesus in the lead, life is SO MUCH SWEETER.
Yes, even in the inevitable hard + uncomfortable circumstances.
He doesn’t promise us a life of ease, but He does promise His steadfast love, a continual Helper, and peace that reaches beyond our imaginations.
Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. And, all these things will be added to you.
Matthew 6:33
Go explore the whole book of Matthew in the New Testament of the Bible.
Talk to God with an open heart and mind, and ask Him to meet you there.
He will.
When we fail to put first things first, there will seem like there’s
never enough time
never enough money
and never enough resources
and something will always feel perpetually off.
Build your life on the rock.
Put first things first.
And, everything else will fall into place.
C.S. Lewis once said, “Look for Christ and you will find Him, and with Him, everything else.”
It’s never too late to put first things first.
