AUNT DANI’S FAMOUS TACO SEASONING

If you know my story, you know that it wasn’t until I was years into motherhood that I started learning how to really cook.

Over my 14 years as a wife and mother, I have looked to my sister for all things cooking related.

She was the one who helped me troubleshoot my scrambled eggs that always seemed to stick to the pan.

(Who knew you ought not cook eggs on high heat? 🤷‍♀️ 👀 )

She was the one to lead the way to JERF (just eating real food!).

She was the one who taught me how to make homemade whipped cream (which, was scary to me, but stupid simple after I finally tried it!).

She has been the pioneer to so many of the things I now know about cooking.

Her taco seasoning recipe is 👌 .

INGREDIENTS:

  • 3/4 cup Chili Powder

  • 3/8 cup Ground Cumin

  • 1 Tbsp Onion Powder

  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder

  • 1 Tbsp Red Pepper Flakes

  • Tbsp Dried Oregano

  • Tbsp Paprika

  • 1/4 cup Salt

  • 1/4 cup Pepper

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Combine ingredients in a 16oz mason jar — or better yet, double the recipe and put in a 32oz mason jar.

  2. Use 2 TBSP (or to taste!) per 1lb of ground beef.

TIP #1:

Double your taco meat, and save half for dinner tomorrow or later this week.
