Homemade Ranch mix

Wind & Seed Homemade Ranch

Do you read + understand your food labels?

Many dressings on the store shelves have us opting to home-make what we use. #makinginformeddecisions

Here are some of the ingredients that have contributed to our decision:

MALTODEXTRIN

  • Maltodextrin is linked to type-2 diabetes

  • It has a higher glycemic index than even standard sugar

  • It can cause a spike in blood sugar + make you feel hunger again quicker

MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE (MSG)

  • Linked to migraines, numbness, and other adverse affects

  • Causes oxidative damage to cells + contributes to free radical formation

CARBOXYMETHYLCELLULOSE (aka: cellulose gum)

  • Emulsifier that triggers leaky gut

  • Linked to metabolic dysfunction, obesity, and IBS

  • Throws off healthy levels of intestinal bacteria, triggering chronic, low-level inflammation that promotes colorectal cancer + leaky gut

  • Act like detergents to disrupt the mucous layer that lines the gut

That was a fun read, huh? 😅

Listen. I know this research can be taken to the extreme, believe me, I know.

That’s not the goal here. Do not go and freak out over your fridge + pantry.

The goal is to interrupt the “auto-pilot” of just believing that “if it’s on the shelf, it must be safe” + to give you a taste of something better — more REAL!

This homemade ranch mix is DELICIOUS.

It’s 💯 free of food additives.

When you know better, you can do better.

Simple, healthy, sustainable swaps over time will make a massive impact on not just YOUR health, but the health of future generations.
